For years, the Amazon Influencer Program felt like one of the most reliable side-income models on the internet. Upload helpful videos, follow the rules, provide value — and in return, Amazon rewarded creators with consistent monthly commissions.
But over the last several months, something has clearly changed.
Across forums, Reddit threads, and private creator groups, long-time Amazon Influencers — people who have been active for years — are reporting the same alarming issue:
Videos are publishing… but no longer showing up on product pages.
For many, this has meant a sudden and unexplained drop in income — in some cases, from steady monthly earnings to zero.
What makes this situation so unsettling is how consistent the reports are.
Influencers who once earned $100, $300, or even thousands per month are describing nearly identical timelines:
Older videos that lived on product pages for years slowly disappeared
Earnings declined gradually, then fell off a cliff
New videos show as “Published” in the Influencer dashboard
Even when uploaded to listings with open video slots, those videos never appear on the product detail pages
This isn’t happening to brand-new creators learning the system. It’s happening to experienced influencers who already proved themselves within the program.

The short answer: there is no official confirmation that shadow-bans exist in the Amazon Influencer Program.
However, Amazon’s own documentation leaves a lot of room for uncertainty.

Videos can sit in the dashboard as “live” indefinitely without ever appearing on a product page.
Creators have reported dozens — sometimes hundreds — of previously placed videos vanishing from listings around the same time.
Support responses are often vague, generic, or non-committal, offering no explanation for why placements stopped.
These reports span multiple categories, niches, and account sizes. That strongly suggests a system-level change, not individual punishment.
Amazon has not publicly explained what’s happening, but based on influencer experiences, several possibilities stand out:
Algorithm or placement changes — Amazon frequently tests layouts and prioritization
Reduced visibility for influencer videos in favor of brand or customer content
Internal experiments where videos temporarily disappear during testing
Stricter quality or conversion weighting that isn’t communicated to creators
Importantly, many affected influencers report that nothing about their content changed — only Amazon’s behavior did.
Long-term influencers built systems around this income:
Equipment purchases
Time investments
Upload workflows
Consistent publishing schedules
When placements disappear without warning, it’s not just discouraging — it’s destabilizing.
The biggest frustration isn’t lower earnings.
It’s the lack of transparency.

Document missing placements with screenshots and ASINs
Email Amazon Associates support and request escalation
Verify onsite commission approval status
